Fallen hero retribution1/30/2024 If you and your puppet just swap bodies, that's also freaky, but if that was the case, I'm not sure why your character would be freaking out that hard in that ending I mentioned just seeing your character, unless your puppet has that visceral of a reaction interacting with the MC, but I'm not sure. I know that across the second book there's subtle hints that your puppet's consciousness is waking up, that your puppet is influencing things and influencing you when you're inhabiting them. I'm not really sure who it would be, another telepath or something is pretty freaky. Your MC wakes up as someone else that isn't you, and you in your puppet start panicking when they wake, running across the city and hiding. One of my favorite endings is where you attack the hospital with your henchman as your puppet and get your body out of the hospital and take it back to your hideout, then you sit there all night watching yourself. It is implying that someone else woke up as your MC - whether you and your puppet swapped consciousnesses, or if someone/something else took control of your MC when you left them vacant, seems to be unclear, Every ending has some variance of that. ![]() Not sure how I feel about that, especially since it sounds as if this is something entirely outside of the player's control, which I always dislike in these type of games.Įdit: Which isn't me saying there is a good way around situations like those, I mean this already is close to 1 and half a million word count, most of which is variation to stuff, there's no such thing as total freedom and accounting for player's choices while also telling such a large scale (and pretty deep) story. Oh, yeah, I forgot that you loose your powers while in the puppet, hm, that is actually weird. But yeah, it could be a good thing for some people / characters, I'm interested to see how the story goes and how the author handles it and all the different choices/endings That seems like a pretty big problem, especially if you wake up as your puppet, since that means someone else has your telepathy powers (since your telepathy doesn't work when you're in your puppet's body). Meaning that there's another consciousness in their body. Knee:Well every ending that I've found so far (and I assume every ending there is) says that whoever you don't wake up as, which is to say your puppet if you wake up as your main character, or main character if you wake up as your puppet, wakes up on their own. ![]() It all just depends on the values of those hidden stats.Īlternatively, what I did because I wanted to see all the endings (still haven't found them all, there's so many.) was used a save editor and lowered that stat manually, because I also was nice to my puppet :( So puppet sent, you can wake up as either puppet or your character. No matter who you sent, you can wake up as the other one. Crash with Ortega, crash without Ortega, etc. ![]() So to get the other ending (playing as yourself, instead of your puppet), you'll have to go back through in a replay or something and pick the choices that say you hate being in your puppet and things like that to lower that stat.Īnd of course you get different outcomes for who you sent to Hollow Ground, but there's endings for both you and your puppet in both outcomes. But if it's pushed too much in one direction already before that choice, then not even that choice will impact anything. This choice is a big boost upwards/downwards for the attributes, so it could be enough to push you into either playing as your puppet, or playing as yourself. If it's too low, which means you hate being in your puppet, you don't see them as an individual, they're just a meat sack, etc etc, I don't think you can get into your puppet's body at all.Īt the end after the crash, you have a choice to see yourself or your puppet in the mirror. If it's too high, which I believe means that you've said you like your puppet, you like being in them, you feel more comfortable in them than yourself, so on throughout the game, you're forced into your puppet's body at the end. So there's hidden stats in the game, two of them are called Puppet Individuality and Puppet Control somethingsomething, idk, anyway they're raised/lowered throughout the game depending on how you've treated your puppet, how comfortable you've said you are in their body, so on.
